Ready to laugh again: Bobby Brown in 'jovial mood' as he lifts his spirits following death of Bobbi Kristina with night out at LA comedy club

Although he's still reeling from the loss of daughter Bobbi Kristina, a happier Bobby Brown was seen chatting with fans Tuesday outside a comedy club in Los Angeles.

The former husband of Whitney Houston has been devastated by the death of his and Whitney's only child and was inconsolable at her funeral service August 1.

But two weeks on, Bobby, 46, appears to be starting to find his feet and clearly feels able to face the world again.

The last time the world saw Bobby he was wiping tears from his eyes as he was driven away from a reception following the funeral for his 22-year-old daughter.

The night out at the Ha Ha Cafe Comedy Club in North Hollywood no doubt helped lifts Bobby's spirits and he graciously posed for photos with fans who recognized him.

While his demeanor was described as 'jovial,' an onlooker told People magazine: 'He was fairly open with his feelings with fans, stating that he was heartbroken.'

Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive, face-down in the bathtub at her Roswell, Georgia townhouse by her live-in boyfriend Nick Gorgon in January.

After being in a medically-induced coma for five months, the family released a statement that she had been moved to Peachtree Christian Hospice in Atlanta. Bobbi Kristina passed away on July 26.

In a MailOnline exclusive last week, a friend of Bobby's revealed he's wracked with guilt over Bobbi Kristina's death.

'He told me he should have insisted Krissy get help for her drug addiction,' the insider said.

'Bobby says he was her father no matter what age she was and he should have fought her or anyone else who stopped her from saving her from herself.'

It's also been a tough time for the R&B singer because of worries about the health of his wife Alicia Etheridge.

Alicia Etheridge, who gave birth to the couple's daughter Bodhi on July 9, suffered a seizure on the day of Bobbi Kristina's service. It's reported she is suffering from severe diabetes.

Alicia was first diagnosed with diabetes in 2009, when she was pregnant with the couple's son, Cassius, who is now six.

A friend told MailOnline last week that Bobby 'is so afraid this disease will one day take his wife from him and it would destroy him.'
