Lana Del Rey brings out the big guns for explosive new music video for High By The Beach

Lana Del Rey was not subtle about her feelings with regard to paparazzi in the new video for her song, High By The Beach.

The 30-year-old singer took aim - literally - at those who would disturb her ocean-side privacy in the dreamy video released on Thursday.

A helicopter full of tabloid journalists found out about Lana's feelings the hard way when she shot them down with a hidden anti-aircraft gun.

It was something of a surprise ending for the previously peaceful video that saw Lana alone in a beachfront mansion.

Wearing a low-cut white dress over a black bra - all covered by a lightweight blue robe - Lana's hair floated loosely down her back in brown curls.

She gave the impression of being a fairy-tale princess, trapped in her castle by the dragon-like helicopter.

Lana's quiet sadness turned to action about halfway through the video when the singer ran to the beach and retrieved a guitar case from the rocks.

In that case, however, was a very large gun instead of a musical instrument.

'All I wanna do is get high by the beach,' Lana sang repeatedly as she launched her missile at the helicopter.

When the aircraft exploded, scraps of tabloid-style paper floated down from the flames as Lana was finally alone.

High By The Beach is the first official single off of Lana's upcoming fifth studio album, Honeymoon, with the audio track released only a few days earlier on Monday.

Lana has said that the new album will include 14 tracks in total, reflecting influences from 'muddy trap energy' to music 'inspired by late-night Miles Davis drives.'

Away from her music, meanwhile, Lana has indeed been spending time 'by the beach,' enjoying the Italian seaside with boyfriend Francesco Carrozzini and his family in the resort town of Portofino.

Earlier in the summer, Lana and Francesco got to hobnob with actual royalty when they attended the wedding of Italian heiress Beatrice Borromeo to Monaco royal Pierre Casiraghi.
