She spent a relaxing day with her three children at the farmer's market this weekend.

But even the busiest of parents need some alone time every now and then, including actress Thandie Newton and her husband, Oliver Parker.

The British actress, 42, was spotted going make-up free for a romantic lunch with her spouse in Los Feliz, California on Tuesday.

The star was seen keeping her belongings close to her in a pink-and-black patterned bag.

Thandie showcased her natural beauty as she forgoed make-up, with her dark locks styled into a relaxed side-plait.

Her writer husband looked equally laid-back in a grey, long-sleeved top, black trousers and navy Converse trainers, worn with round sunglasses and baseball cap.

Thandie Newton is just like us! While she may be an A-list actress wearing custom made gowns on the red carpet, but she has casual days in sweats and flip flops as well. And we spot some brightly colored one of her.

The original mass-produced flip-flop made of out rubber, Havaianas are now world wide recognized as the ubiquitous sandal for the beach. And they certainly weren't embarrassed by PDAs as Thandie placed a loving kiss on her husband's hand at one point.

The loved-up couple met while working on a BBC drama before getting married in 1998.

Thandie gave birth to the couple's first child, daughter Ripley in 2000, before Nico was born in 2004 and their son Booker in 2014.
