Relatives of Warren G Harding revealed on Wednesday that he did indeed father a daughter in 1919 with his longtime mistress Nan Britton. Britton first made the claim in an explosive tell-all book the affair, published in 1927, but her account was treated with heavy skepticism since Harding was widely believed to be sterile. The question of Harding's fidelity hung over the two families for years.
