She suffered heartache earlier this year when her engagement came to an end.

But Kym Marsh is reportedly on the up, as she is back in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend Matt Baker.

The Sun has reported that the Coronation Street actress, 39, has rekindled her romance with the 25-year-old personal trainer, just three months after she split from fiance Dan Hooper.

A source told the newspaper's Will Payne: 'Matt has been a great friend to Kym and, with the physical attraction always being there, things have just naturally developed into a relationship.

'At the moment, they're just enjoying each other's company and seeing how it develops.'

The source added that he has been her 'rock' in recent times, and that has led to their relationship heating up again.

Fans could guess that things might be moving forward for Kym and Matt - who previously dated in early 2014, shortly before she hooked up with Dan - as they both attended her Corrie co-star Antony Cotton's birthday together at the weekend.

Both Kym and Matt tweeted pictures from the bash, although not together, and Antony posted a tweet thanking them both for a present.

'And also to my girl @msm4rsh and my boy @mattwjbaker for their well jazzy treats. So lovely. I'm proper chufty badged up x,' he wrote on the social networking site.

Kym replied: '@antonycotton @mattwjbaker ahhhh love you baby can't wait to see youuuuu.'

The former Hear'Say singer had originally started seeing the personal trainer - 14 years her junior - early last year, with the two of them spending a romantic Valentine's weekend together in Paris.

But it wasn't long until they had ended, and Kym was with 32-year-old Dan, also a personal trainer, and involved in a debacle with Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring, who has a daughter with him.

The couple moved their relationship on quickly, becoming engaged in December after a whirlwind romance, and talking happily about their marriage plans.

However, cracks in their union began to show just months after the proposal, and Kym confirmed in June they had parted ways a while before, ending the speculation.

Towards the end of the month, just a couple of weeks after revealing it was officially over between her and Dan, Kym revealed in her OK! magazine column that she was training with Matt once again, setting tongues wagging.

The singer and actress wrote at the time: 'I’m training with Matt Baker as we have remained friends, and also his business partner Sam [Witter].

She added: 'To be honest, they are the best trainers I have ever had. I know I will get results working out with them.’

Matt had also been training two of Kym's four children - son David, 21, and daughter Emilie, 17 - for the past six months.

Kym has been married twice before - to ex-EastEnders star Jack Ryder (2002-2009), and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas (2012-2014), and has been engaged five times.

She has two children with David Cunliffe, and was also engaged to brewery worker Martin Murphy.

They were planning their wedding when she heard she had beaten thousands to land a part in Hear'Say, Britain's first TV band in 2000.
