She hasn't been living in Los Angeles for very long.

But, clearly, Alex Gerrard is at ease with life on America's east coast - as she proved by stepping out for some make-up free pampering in Tinsel Town, this week.

The blonde WAG, who is famously married to former Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard, looked off-duty as she undertook a manicure on Wednesday afternoon.

Fresh from the gym, the Liverpudlian was typically dressed down in head-to-toe, skin-tight exercise gear, which consisted of an army-print vest.

Scraping her hair back into a messy bun, she appeared effortlessly fresh-faced as she emerged from her local sports centre following another gruelling session.

Having picked up a healthy smoothie, she then headed to a local nail bar where she treated herself to a manicure - and paid in cash.

Cutting a casual figure as she enjoyed the treatment, the media personality certainly didn't show any traces of missing her Merseyside home.

On the contrary, she appeared both settled - and proud of her figure in the city which is known for putting a high value on aesthetics.

However, despite her impressive figure, that hasn't always been the case.

Earlier this year, before moving to the US, Alex admitted she has been very critical of her appearance in the past but feels more confident these days.

She told Closer magazine: I'm always dead critical of myself... but I do feel good at the moment. I've got a lot more definition than I thought I'd ever have. I've definitely noticed the difference most on my stomach and my legs,' she told the magazine.

'I just want to look my best out there because I know everyone in LA is so into their appearance, fitness and healthy eating,' she admitted.

The blonde beauty also admitted she looks better than she previously did: at 5ft 9in and just over 9st in weight, she is in better shape than ever before, and it shows.

'I'm a lot leaner and more toned now than I was before. Back then I obviously wasn't overweight, but I was unfit and probably had a bit of excess weight here and there.'

Since relocating from England, the Gerrards and their daughters - Lilly-Ella, 11, Lexie, nine and three-year-old Lourdes - are now living in a £18million six bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills.

The 12,000sq ft mansion features an outdoor swimming pool and costs £35,000 a month to rent.

Steven is rumoured to be paid £76,000 a week, compared with £140,000 from Liverpool.
