'Got room for one more?' Kurt Russell and Samuel L Jackson face off in Quentin Tarantino's first trailer for The H8ful Eight

It looks like Minnie's Haberdashery is about to get cosy for the next few days.

The first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's H8ful Eight has been unveiled... and it is very Quentin Tarantino.

The two-and-a-half minute clip introduces the eponymous rogues who become stranded in the mountaintop stagecoach stop together during a blizzard.

The trailer opens with a horse-drawn carriage, ridden by the mega-mustachioed Kurt Russell, as it traverses across a stunning snowscape, until it comes to a roadblock in the form of a man sitting atop a pile of frozen bodies.

'Got room for one more?' he asks, slowly raising the brim of his hat to reveal Major Marquis Warren, AKA The Bounty Hunter, played by Samuel L Jackson who is rocking almost as impressive facial hair of his own.

Russell, who plays John 'The Hangman' Ruth, is transporting the black-eye sporting prisoner Daisy Domergue, played by Jennifer Jason Leigh.

As both men smoke pipes, Jackson familiarizes his fellow bounty hunter to the captive.

'They call him the hangman. When the hand bill says "Dead or Alive" the rest of us just shoot you in the back from up on top a perch somewhere and bring you in dead over a saddle,' he tells her. 'But when John Ruth "The Hangman" catches you... you hang.'

When Russell arrives at Minnie's as the blizzard descends, he finds five other sinister characters already holed up there, and warns them in a delightfully OTT delivery not to mess with his prize.

'This here is Daisy Domergue. She's wanted dead or alive for murder. When that sun comes out, I'm taking this woman to hang,' he shouts, as Domergue helpfully simulates being hanged beside him, tongue comically lolled.

'Is there anybody here committed to stopping me from doing that?'

The film also stars Michael Madsen as Joe Gage 'The Cow Puncher'; Tim Roth as Oswaldo Mobray 'The Little Man'; Bruce Dern as General Sanford Smithers 'The Confederate'; Demián Bichir as Bob 'The Mexican'; and Walton Goggins as Chris Mannix 'The Sheriff'.

'One of them fellas... is not who he says he is,' Russell claims in the clip, which features a lot of guns being pointed at each other.

'Move a little strange: you're gonna get a bullet,' Jackson warns at the conclusion. 'Not a warning, not a question; a bullet.'
