The pictures killer dentist 'tried paying $20,000 to stop you seeing': How Dr Walter illegally shot this bear and then 'tried bribing the guides to cover it up' - 10 years before slaughtering Cecil the lion

The pictures Cecil the lion killer Walter Palmer tried to stop you seeing

The shocking images, obtained by ABC through a Freedom of Information Act request, show Palmer standing above the animal he slayed with a bow and arrow in Wisconsin in 2006. After posing with the bear's carcass, he allegedly bribed the guides with $20,000 in a bid to cover up the criminal act and then lied to federal prosecutors. But the embattled Minnesota native was eventually caught, tried and pleaded guilty - but only paid a $3,000 fine after signing a plea agreement. Palmer, who has become one of the most hated men in America, killed the bear in an area where he didn't have a permit to hunt. He gained notoriety around the world last month after it was revealed he was responsible for killing the beloved 13-year-old lion during an illicit hunt in Zimbabwe. Since his name was released, he has kept a low profile as both the American and Zimbabwean governments consider legal action against him. In the past weeks, a horrifying array of animals he has killed - including moose, deer, buffalo, mountain lions and a polar bear - have emerged.

It is first time he has stepped onto the field since he was handed the punishment by the league - and he looked a little less stone-faced then the court sketches of him suggested. He only played in the Super Bowl-champion's first three drives before he was replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo, the young player likely to replace him for the opening stretch of the franchise's NFL campaign. The pair however ended up on the losing side, going down 22-11.

Longtime Pikes Peak region builder Chuck Murphy got a call Friday from a member of his construction crew demolishing an old family cabin along Rampart Range Road in Woodland Park.

?They said they found a body stuffed in the chimney,? Murphy said. ?It was a real shock. I couldn?t believe it.?

In a news release, Woodland Park Police reported the discovery of human remains at 2:30 p.m. at a construction site. Police, the Teller County Coroner and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation were working to identify the remains. No other information was released.

The 79-year-old Murphy said the corpse was a red-haired man whose limbs had become dismembered while encased in the chimney.

?I feel so sorry for the guy who was in there because it had to be a few years,? Murphy said.

A work crew tearing down a ramshackle log cabin in Woodland Park, Colorado, came upon a human corpse partially stripped of flesh - but still wearing a sweater - lodged in the chimney.

Witty Millennials of New York parody page pokes fun at grumpy twenty-somethings

Inspired by Brandon Stanton's popular Humans of New York, which shares portraits alongside interesting stories from real New Yorkers, this satirical Facebook page also features people posing in the city that never sleeps. Unlike on the original page, however, these stories are made up to poke fun at 20-something living in the city. The sometimes unflattering quotes paint millennials as entitled, uninterested in current events, and obsessed with social media and trends. But they also include some hysterically funny - and incredibly accurate - observations.

Venezuelan lake is hit by lightning THOUSANDS of times an hour

Where the Catatumbo River meets Lake Maracaibo, 260 storm days each year create around 28 lightning strikes hitting the lake each minute. The unique atmospheric phenomenon generates an 1.2 million lightning strikes each year and is visible from almost 250 miles (400km) away. There are several theories to explain the continuous storms including high winds which sweep across the lake forming clouds when they meet the Andean mountains. Others link it to the boggy marshes releasing methane gas.

My week in the the London Blingmobiles: SARAH RAINEY joins the Middle Eastern boy racers flying around in supercars for an eye-wateringly vulgar spin

SARAH RAINEY joins the Middle Eastern boy racers flying around London in supercars

Hands gripping the steering wheel, I am perched in the front seat of a garish white Mercedes so enormous it makes me feel like one of the Borrowers, writes SARAH RAINEY. My every move is being watched by an equally enormous man dressed head to toe in purple velour, who identifies himself only as 'The Wolf of Knightsbridge'. I am forbidden from touching the plush red-and-white leather interior; forbidden from pressing the astounding array of buttons and levers that dot the dashboard; and, above all else, forbidden from putting my foot anywhere near the accelerator. Parked outside the five-star Dorchester hotel in London (above) are, from left, a Ferrari, a Mercedes, a Rolls-Royce, a garishly customised gold Range Rover and, yes, yet another Ferrari. I am pictured (left) with a white Lamborghini , and (right) with 'The Wolf of Knightsbridge', right, and another man, known as 'Angelo'.
