Georgia May Foote can't contain her excitement as she leaves BBC studios after being unveiled as fourth contestant on Strictly Come Dancing
She left Coronation Street earlier this year with hopes to pursue a career in Hollywood.
But right now, Georgia May Foote has decided to focus on something else as she is the fourth celebrity contestant to be confirmed for the brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 24-year-old, who is known for playing mother-of-one Katy Armstrong on the ITV soap, confirmed the news during a live appearance on BBC Breakfast on Thursday morning.

‘I am so excited to be part of Strictly 2015,’ she confessed. ‘It is something I have always wanted to take part in and now I just can’t wait to get started!
‘I love dancing and I love a challenge so this is the perfect experience for me.’
Talking to the breakfast shows presenters about what looking forward to, she said: ‘I’m looking forward to learning dancing, learning different styles, the dresses.

Manchester-born Georgia, who has appeared on British television since 2004, previously starred in a number of well-known TV shows such as Life on Mars, Doctors, Casualty, Heartbeat, Emmerdale and This Is England 86.
She joins the likes of EastEnders star Kellie Bright, celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott and broadcaster Jeremy Vine, who were confirmed as contestants earlier in the week.

Georgia follows in the footsteps of former Corrie star Natalie Gumede, who was a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and Jimi Mistry, competed in the eighth series and went on to marry his partner Flavia Cacace.
