Get a cabin! Zara and Mike put on a romantic display as they take ship ahead of a charity yacht race in rainy Cowes

  • Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall were seen sharing a kiss in Cowes
  • The couple were on the Isle of Wight to take part in a charity yacht race
  • They were joined by ex rugby players Serge Betsen and Gavin Hastings

They might be the busy parents of a toddler daughter but the magic clearly hasn't worn off for Mike and Zara Tindall who were spotted sharing a romantic moment at Cowes this morning.

Not even the pouring rain could dampen the couple's spirits, with the two smiling and chatting happily as they prepared to take part in the Artemis Challenge.

Zara and Mike weren't the only famous faces to take part in the charity race, which sees participants circle the Isle of Wight.

Also onboard were former French rugby stars Serge Betsen and Sylvain Marconnet, polar explorer Ben Saunders and ex Scotland rugby player, Gavin Hastings.

But while Zara and Mike garnered more than a few stares, the pair, who married in 2011 and have a daughter, Mia Grace, together, only had eyes for each other.

Today's race is the second the couple have taken part in, having put on a similarly amorous display during last year's event.

Like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the couple are sailing fans although Zara has little time for other sports thanks to her intensifying workload as she prepares for the Rio Olympics next year.

Keeping the romance alive: Zara and Mike were enjoying some time together away from their daughter Mia

Keeping the romance alive: Zara and Mike were enjoying some time together away from their daughter Mia

Last week, she was seen hard at work during the Festival of British Eventing at her mother's home, Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire, and brought two-year-old Mia along.

Meanwhile husband Mike recently revealed that he is planning to have his famously wonky nose fixed after enduring years of breathing problems.

The former England captain turned pundit and reality TV contestant - who has broken his nose multiple times - once ignored Princess Anne when she asked him to fix his crooked nose before marrying daughter Zara.

But it took a slew of medical issues to change the 36-year-old’s mind - his nostrils have collapsed and he can only breathe through his mouth.

Comparing himself to a pug dog, he told the Daily Mirror: ‘I don’t really want to get it fixed but it looks like I might have to because I can’t actually breathe very well.

‘I guess it’s something similar to a pug.

‘The problem is that if I get it done, will people say I’ve had it just because I’m doing TV stuff now? Because it’s definitely not.’

The father-of-one first broke his nose at the age of five, when the seatbelt came loose on a dodgem car and he head-butted the steering wheel.

He then went on to break his nose at least eight times during his 12-year rugby career, and his olfactory organ was the subject of many a light-hearted discussion among his team mates.

He once had two metal plates inserted up his nose to keep it straight, but during his next club game they fell out onto a pitch.

His nose now sits at an obvious 45-degree angle.
