Maybe he should stick to making shoes! Christian Louboutin launches gimmicky photo app, which includes a filter that turns everything (you guessed it) RED
- Louboutinize app aims to 'impart the joyous spirit' of the French brand
- Comes with three exclusive filters: Rouge, Legs and Crystallize
- Available on iPhone and can be download for free via the App Store
Christian Louboutin is best known for his glamorous red-soled stilettos, but the shoe extraordinaire has now turned his attention to mobile phone apps.
The French designer has created Louboutinize, a photograph editor available only on the iPhone, that allows fans 'to impart the joyous spirit' of the brand onto their pictures.
Unlike Instagram, which offers users an array of diverse features, the footwear maker's free app comes with just three filters: Rouge, Crystallize and Legs.

In honour of his legendary stilettos, Rouge gives every image a - rather eerie looking - red glaze. The brand stated: 'You’ll paint the town red in Christian Louboutin’s signature shade!'
Or for those who would rather see the world through the faceted bottle of Louboutin's nail varnish, which launched a year ago, there is a broken glass-like effect called Crystallise.
This, the luxury fashion house claims, adds 'a little sparkle to your photos'.
The final filter is an option called Legs. Here, the bottom half of a matador, football player, CanCan girl or polo player can be attached to the lower portion of full-length photographs.
Users can shoot photographs directly within the app or upload images from their camera roll.
Once a photo is 'Louboutinized', users will hear a lightning bolt sound effect that signifies their photo is ready.

This can then be 'seamlessly' shared on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Keen to road-test the latest must-have fashion accessory, FEMAIL tried the Rouge filter out on A-listers including Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Harry Styles.
Fashion designer Victoria, 41, ended up looking like an extra in a horror movie thanks to the weird two-tone black and red effect on her face, while the world's most famous supermodel Kate Moss, 41, looked unrecognisable with the software's flaming glow.
Meanwhile the filter gave One Direction hunk Harry Styles, 21, unflattering dark shading underneath his eyes and around his mouth.
The market is already highly saturated with the likes of VSCO Cams and Facetunes, so Laboutinize has some tough competition.

FEMAIL writer Sarah Barns tried out the CanCan girl, left, and ballerina, right, options available via the Legs filter
FEMAIL writer Sarah Barns, 26, super-imposed her body onto the CanCan girl and ballerina options.
'Maybe if you could match your clothes with the bottoms offered it would look quite fun,' she said. 'It's a good time-wasting device but pretty bizarre.'
PR manager Natalie Johnson, from Doncaster, and legal administrator Candice Hall, from Nottingham, tried the Rouge and Crystallized effect out on their selfies.
'I don't understand why you would ever need it,' said Natalie, 26. 'Give me a Crema or Ludwig Instagram effect any day.'
While Candice, 26, added: 'The Rouge effect is quite scary! I think it's pointless and definitely not something I'd use in the future. The glass-like effect looks like I've broken my phone.'
FEMAIL writer Bianca London, 26, added: 'I can't see why or when your would ever use this.'

The brand are looking to expand their filter offering in September with one designed especially for Louboutin Homme.
Christian Louboutin caused a stir in November after launching a limited edition Rouge Louboutin Nail colour, priced at an eye-watering £495.
It was adorned with 1,500 Strass crystals, which were painstakingly applied by hand.
However the standard edition of the polishes, which come with the same graphic cylinder shape, retailed at a far more budget-friendly £36.
