He may be 70 years-old.

But Rod Stewart is still capable of painting the town red - as he proved when he stepped out with wife Penny Lancaster on Thursday evening.

The pair cut glamorous figures as they dined out in West Hollywood to celebrate signing on for his fifth year as a resident performer at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Leggy model Penny Lancaster is certainly setting the gold standard where her footwear is concerned. Fashion Finder is loving her black Aquazzura 'Hello Lover' pumps with their gold bracelet strap.

Towering above partner Rod Stewart as she does, she may not technically need to wear heels but what's a little height difference between friends.

A black dress and black shoes is always an elegant option but it's good to add a little extra something into the mix and Penny's gold straps do it perfectly. They also look much better against a bare leg than black.

Dressed in matching looks, the rocker wore a monochrome look which consisted of a tweed jacket, white shirt and black, skinny jeans.

With his trademark hair fashionably styled, he looked considerably younger than his years.

Meanwhile, Penny amped-up the glamour in a flattering LBD which showed off her long legs and ample cleavage.

Together, they seemed top appreciate some alone time - especially given the size of Rod's family.

In total, he has a brood of eight children; his eldest daughter, Sarah Streeter, now 52, with art student Susannah Boffey was raised by adoptive parents.

The American Songbook singer went on to have daughter Kimberley, 35, and son Sean, 34, with his first wife, actress and model Alana Hamilton.

Rod then welcomed daughter Ruby, 28, with girlfriend Kelly Emberg, also a model, before having daughter Renee, 23, and son Liam, 21, with second wife, model Rachel Hunter.

The music legend and third wife, Penny, have been together since 1999 and tied the knot in a medieval monastery in the Italian Riviera town of Portofino in June 2007 between the birth of their two sons.

And showing that he's a supportive and caring father when it comes to all members of the Stewart clan, Rod has even plugged his two of his children's new TV show.

The rocker who makes a brief appearance on E! reality show Stewarts & Hamiltons - which stars Kimberley, 35, and Sean, 34 - plugged his children's new show to his fanbase.

Tweeting about his cameo on the show's premiere, last month, Rod wrote: '2 of my children, Sean & Kim, filmed a TV series airing tonight at 9pm on E! They may or may not have convinced me to cameo, tune in & see!'
