That's purr-fect! Delta Goodrem gushes about CATS castmates as she begins rehearsals for her debut in the stage show

Last month it was revealed she would be starring as Grizabella in the upcoming stage show, CATS.

And kicking off rehearsals for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production, Delta Goodrem, 30, couldn’t have looked happier than to be practicing with her castmates.

The Voice Australia star shared a picture of herself to Instagram on Friday with her ‘incredibly talented group of mystical magical cats.’

The blonde beauty, who has just recently released her new single Wings, can be seen sitting down in the group shot and holding up their special CATS cupcakes.

Glowing in the snap, Delta wears a black singlet top and red and white printed tights, with what appears to be black knee pads on top.

She had her long hair out over her shoulders and is wearing makeup.

Delta captioned the shot, ‘Cats’ cast…First week of rehearsals. Here with this incredibly talented group of mystical magical cats. #Grizabella #catsqad #cattribe.’

She also shared another image to her social media page of cupcakes for the cast with the word ‘CATS’ printed on them.

The stunner labelled the day, ‘cupcake Friday.’

Delta will perform in October when the West End production hits Australian shores.

In a statement released about the show, Delta said, ‘I am so excited to be making my musical theatre debut as Grizabella in CATS, one of the most iconic roles.’

Last month, she opened up to Richard Wilkins on the Today Show about singing the iconic track Memory.

‘As soon as I sang the song and I just sort of sat by the piano and had a sing of it, I was just like, “I have to do this,’’ Delta said.
