'I'm awkward like that': Sarah Hyland trips over light fixture and nearly falls off stage at Teen Choice Awards
She's made a career out of her ability to make others laugh, but Sarah Hyland's latest move was far from rehearsed.
On Sunday, the 24-year-old's quick-thinking skills were put to the test after she tripped over an intruding neon light fixture on the stage of the Teen Choice Awards at USC in Los Angeles.
While Sarah quickly bounced back onto her feet, Skylar Astin appeared to be fighting off a chuckle as he trailed behind her, just before they presented the award for Choice Comedian.

Following the close call, Sarah threw her hands up into the air and gave Skylar a shocked expression.
'I do that sometimes, guys. I'm awkward like that, you know,' Sarah said, once she was behind the microphone.
Even following the incident, Sarah continued to relive the moment on social media, tweeting that same day, 'You guys. I tripped. I tripped on camera. I tripped on stage in front of all you. #mylife #clumsyforlife.'
