She hasn't had much luck with men in the past.

And it looks like Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) now has her sights set once again on ex lover Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) in Coronation Street as they are set to share a passionate kiss.

Liz's recent love-life has been disastrous - she was cheated and betrayed by long-term boyfriend Tony and menaced by Dan the brewery man.

Despite having broken up with the Streetcars cabbie on two previous occasions, Liz invites a reluctant Lloyd over to share a takeaway and watch TV.

There are no ulterior motives, as the Rovers Return landlady is just after a bit of company. 

She wants to help cheer Lloyd up, after he experiences his own problems following a bust-up with girlfriend Andrea.

But no doubt her son, Steve, who is Lloyd's best friend will have something to say about it. 

It doesn't look like this romance is set to last though, as Craig Charles has already announced he's leaving the cobbles.

He made his decision to quit earlier this year, after playing Lloyd for ten years.

The actor is set to leave in the autumn, and has revealed plans to return to cult series, Red Dwarf.

The scenes will air in Coronation Street on August 27.
