She enjoyed a prolific acting career after starring in the now cult classic TV series Twin Peaks over two decades ago.

But while on a shopping trip in college town Westwood, California, on Friday, Lara Flynn Boyle was very much unlike her days as high school student Donna Hayward.

The 45-year-old showed off fuller cheeks and lips.

Lara also appeared to have wet hair, which she had slicked back into a tight and no-fuss bun.

The ex-girlfriend of Jack Nicholson kept it casual with her partially unbuttoned shirt, loose white trousers, and a pair of amber hued sunglasses.

Lara also got in a dose of caffeine to fuel herself for her day of shopping.

Lara Flynn Boyle stepped out looking...unlike her self.

The 45-year-old looked unrecognizable, wearing white wide leg pants, a button up tee and a cross-body bag.

The former Twin Peaks star looked glum while shopping in Westwood, California.

With her expression aside, we did notice something else on her face...those tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Meanwhile, the Men In Black II star has not been immune from speculation that she has had plastic surgery, as her once sharp facial features have transformed over the years.

'Her face looks like it's melting,' celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Anthony Youn - who has not treated the star - told Radar Online in 2012.

'Now her face looks like it's deflated, with resultant loose skin.'
