Floyd Mayweather's latest runabout: A £3m 250mph ultra-car so rare there are only TWO in the world

Floyd Mayweather has splashed out £3million ($4.8m) on an ultra-car so rare there are only two in the world.

The American pro boxer, nicknamed the 'Money Man', posted a picture of himself sat on the bonnet of the silver Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita on Saturday. 

In a caption uploaded alongside the image, the 38-year-old wrote: 'My new 4.8 million dollar car.'

He added: 'Koenigsegg made only two Trevita's for the world and this is No.2 of 2.'

Mayweather is the highest-paid sportsman in the world, earning around £191m ($300m) a year.

Obi Okeke, who helps Mayweather look after his collection, told MailOnline that the undefeated champion was just 48 hours away from clinching the deal on the ultra-rare car in June.

His latest purchase can go from zero to 60mph in just 2.9 seconds and has a staggering maximum speed of 250mph.

The sports star has previously boasted about his incredible collection on Instagram.

In one snap of him next to his fleet of supercars - as well as his private jet - he wrote: 'Welcome to my toy world! Who wants to come out and play?'

The pro boxer is currently preparing for the 49th fight of his career.
