Truly, truly outrageous! Jem star Juliette Lewis goes topless in a steamy far from PG photo shoot

She may be starring in children's films these days, but this actress is still the envelope pusher she always was.

Juliette Lewis is obviously not planning on toning things down anytime soon, if a raunchy new shoot is anything to go by.

The 42-year-old is the star of the racy high fashion spread for No Tofu Magazine's September edition.

The Natural Born Killers star has always been known for living outside the box, and while she is preparing ti star in PG remake Jem And The Holograms, she has not lost that edge.

On the cover of the magazine, Juliette is rather covered up in a floral dress with wild voluminous hair and avant-garde makeup, but inside the magazine she really turns up the heat.

One of the raciest of all the spread is a bondage meets fashion snap, in which the From Dusk To Dawn star wears just a tiny black thong with a cage-style waist corset and long jacket, leaving her chest completely exposed.

So when we saw our girl J in this naughty outfit laid bare down to her skivvies (on top) complete with patent leather shorts and a studded jacket, we had to know more!

And her bra, that cagey piece of dominatrix delight is from Chromat..a really cool brand that knows how to turn the subversive into sartorial gold. So if you're in the mood to splurge on something seriously sexy, then click right.

With just a white background and no clothes on, the star could be forgiven for feeling a little bit exposed but instead, she exudes confidence as she shows of her slender form.

The fearless star rocks a similar albeit not topless look, in another picture that has more of a rocker theme.

Looking like she has just finished a gig, the star sits in a backstage area on a beat up leather couch.

Style synergy: For two of her other looks, the stylist has perhaps taken inspiration from 1980s version of Jem with the star rocking a leotard

The 42-year-old is as graceful as a professional dancer as she is captured mid-air in one shot and in the other, flexes her leg to reveal her very defined muscles.

Besides the fact she is topless, the actress is also courting controversy as for the majority of the spread she wears her hair in cornrow braids - something that has left Kylie Jenner in hot water recently, with some accusing her of cultural appropriation.

One thing that has certainly been causing a lot of talk recently is Juliette's new film, Jem And The Holograms.

Trailers for the film - which is out October - have left fans of the Eighties doll and cartoon series less than impressed as it does not stay true to the original story line.

Juliette plays the 'evil' record company exec Erica Raymond - a female version of one of the cartoon's main antagonist Eric Raymond - who wants Jem to dump her bandmates for a shot at an even more successful solo career.

While previously Jem was an adult who ran an orphanage by day and a rocker by night, this time round she is a teen orphan who is shy until her talent is discovered on YouTube.

Jem And The Holograms is scheduled for release on October 23, 2015.
