Sister Hermione makes a wizard nun! Emma Watson says her role as a dowdy nun in £20million political thriller is her most challenging yet

Since finishing her stint as Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson has become a glamorous fixture on red carpets around the world.

But now, for her latest film role, the 25-year-old is barely recognisable as she disguises herself as a dowdy nun.

The actress says her role in the £20 million political thriller Colonia Dignidad is her most challenging yet.

She adds: 'It's the hardest part I've ever had to play. But also the most satisfying. It felt like the right thing to do.'

Work it in white like Emma Watson

Emma Watson is looking gorgeous in a dramatic, halter neck jumpsuit by New York based designer Misha Nonoo. It's got a 70's chic vibe which is a spot on trend for spring 2015.

We love the wide legs on this style and Emma's side swept hair and slick of scarlet lipstick. It's no surprise to us since she's grown up to become quite the style icon. And this jumpsuit is from the SS15 collection and available for order now. But the best part of white is that if you throw on a fur over it, you've got a chilly and down right cool look.

Who wants to stick to boring black when you can stand out from the sea of LBDs in a bit of winter white? So start your search with our edit of bright white all-in-ones below. Alice + Olivia's plunging neckline has got us all in a fashion whirl or grab our favorite pick from Nasty Gal.

The movie tells the true story of the Nazi cult called Colonia Dignidad, which operated in Chile during the reign of dictator General Augusto Pinochet in the 1970s. Watson stars as Lena, whose husband, played by Rush star Daniel Bruhl, 'disappears' into the sinister cult.

She disguises herself as a nun to infiltrate the organisation.

A source said: 'Emma is determined to distance herself from Harry Potter and this is her big push to be taken seriously. She gives an amazing performance and is being tipped as an Oscar contender. She is dowdy in this movie – she's undergone a make-under.'

The film opens in Germany next month and in Britain later this year.
