She shared an adorable snap of her daughter North and niece Penelope's encounter with a 'real-life' mermaid.

And it looks like Kim Kardashian is supporting their new obsession.

The 34-year-old reality star was spotted at the Toys R Us store in Los Angeles doing a bit of shopping for the tots.

The reality star pushed along a blue cart full of goodies including several mermaid toys as she no doubt was going to come baring gifts for her two-year-old daughter and three-year-old niece.

She did have a little helper while purchasing the playthings as Penelope's older brother Mason was happy to help her famous aunt with her errands.

After paying for the goodies, a male bodyguard pushed along their cart as they continued on with their day of aunt-nephew bonding.

Earlier this week, Kim and family were on the magical island of St Barts enjoying a family holiday.

Kim and her older sister Kourtney obviously set up a magical surprise for their two daughters as they discovered that the tropical paradise is the place where mythical beings come to life when they got to meet a mermaid.

North's mother Kim posted a gorgeous shot on Monday that showed them staring in wonder at the siren of the sea. Followed another one posted by Kourtney the next day giving a glimpse into the encounter.

Goodies: Mermaid toys weren't the only thing the reality star purchased as the blue cart was full of toys

North, two, was dressed in her own mini mermaid costume of a sea green coloured scaly tail.

Penelope, three, had her own version in pink.

The mermaid gazed at the two little girls smiling, resplendent in a seashell necklace, her hair pulled back off her face and cascading down her back.

Kim Kardashian has always been a fan of a duster coat, and since becoming pregnant with her second child, her affliction with them has become even stronger, draping them over bodycon dresses that show off her baby bump.

Spotted out and about in Hollywood, Kim opted for a pastel pink hued duster, which she wore over a nude midi dress, teamed with matching sandals and some A-lister essential dark sunnies.

The family was seen riding jet skis, parasailing, working out on the beach, but Kim was not able to join in the activities as she is too far along in her pregnancy.
