Manchester United new signings Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian and Morgan Schneiderlin spotted out and about

Manchester United may have started the season quickly, but some of their newest players are still based in a hotel after their arrivals at the club

United's new stars seem to have settled quickly as Louis van Gaal's new signings have helped his side to consecutive 1-0 wins at the start of the Premier League season.

But Sergio Romero and Matteo Darmian are still living in the city's Lowry Hotel as they search for more permanent residences.

The pair were spotted near the luxury hotel on Saturday, after United's unconvincing win over Aston Villa the night before.

Romero looked stunned after appearing to receive a text message, while Darmian appeared relaxed after a solid start to life in the Premier League.

Another new signing, Morgan Schneiderlin, took a walk around the city centre hand in hand with girlfriend Camille Sold after his impressive start to his United career continued the previous evening.

United have not yet fully convinced this season, but have won both of their league games by a solitary goal to nil.

Kyle Walker's own goal against Tottenham and Adnan Januzaj's deflected strike against Villa have earned Van Gaal's side six points, despite them only managing three shots on target across the two games.

They now go into a Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge on Tuesday and Michael Carrick is hoping the back-to-back league wins will help build momentum.

'It's going to be a big night on Tuesday. It'll be a big two games in fact - they could help set us up for the season,' the vice-captain told the club's official website.

'What we have to gain [from winning the tie] is very important, but you approach both matches as any other games. We want to win on Tuesday and not concede. Hopefully we can get a good start and take a lead to their place. We'll be ready.'

'It's about building momentum from the off,' he added. 'It puts us in a decent position at this stage even though it's early. It's something to build on and it gives us a base to move forward. We know we can play a lot of better and we have the players to do that; I'm confident that will come.

'Performance–wise it wasn't as good as we'd have liked against Villa although defensively I thought we did well and they didn't really have many opportunities. It was a positive three points.

'These games are vital for us to win,' he declared. 'Last season we weren't winning them so it's a good sign. There is a lot more to come from us, we expect more and we hope for some better performances. Hopefully next time we get the full package.'
