Kandee, who is famed for her online transformation tutorials, gave him a full face of make-up in an attempt to make him look like the popular children's doll.

The British presenter sat patiently in the seat as the professional worked her magic with her contouring tools.

James, 37, appeared fairly relaxed and willingly sucked on a lip-plumping tool as instructed.

He soon discovered the perils of having a plump pout and grumbled: 'Getting better, what do you mean? I feel like I've just eaten nine chilies.'

But that's not where the trauma ended as he kicked up somewhat of a fuss when Kandee explained she was going to line his eyelash line with eyeliner.

He struggled to comprehend the concept and said: 'You're going to put make-up inside my eye?'

He moaned throughout the process and when asked if it hurt, he responded: 'Of course it's hurting, you just put a stick in my eye.'

James was given a long blonde wig to complete his look and was relatively surprised with the finished result.

'Oh my God, love it. I do look more Bret Michaels than I do Barbie,' he said as he admired his reflection in the mirror.

Adding: 'I've definitely slept with less better-looking women than this. There is no doubt about it.'

James recently signed a new two-year extension on his contract with the show, meaning he'll be the face of it until at least 2020.

He's expected to make a further £3 million as a result of the new deal.
