Sarah Silverman keeps it casual in fun and funky paint-splattered dungarees and a low-cut top as she runs errands

She recently dazzled on the red carpet at a star-studded Hollywood banquet.

But Sarah Silverman took things back to basics as she ran errands in New York City on Saturday, opting for a rather fun and funky pair of denim dungarees.

And the 44-year-old comedian looked as though she'd been dabbling in a spot of artwork, as her overalls were splattered with flecks of paint in various colours as she strolled around the Big Apple.

The brunette funnywoman teamed her quirky one-piece with a low-cut gunmetal grey top, and accessorised with a pair of brightly-coloured socks and black Adidas trainers.

Wearing a black rucksack and listening to music on her iPhone, Sarah looked younger then her years as she strolled through the city with her long, black tresses flowing behind her.

The star opted for a neutral make-up palette with blushed cheeks and nude lips, but accentuated her dark features with a generous application of black eye-liner and mascara.

Walking alone as she wandered through the streets, Sarah blared out music into her headphones to keep noise at bay for her day out.

The comedienne's look was a far cry from the show-stopping ensemble she wore to her last public engagement, the HFPA Annual Grants Banquet, earlier this month.

Sarah turned heads in a cleavage-baring frock as she arrived at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and posed with perfect poise on the red carpet.

The 44-year-old also showed off her toned arms in the slinky number which featured copper and rose hued fabric with black panels.

In June, Sarah appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where the host asked if she had a lot in common with her 46-year-old actor boyfriend Michael Sheen, who she has been dating for over a year.

'No, we like almost none of the same things,' Sarah confessed.

Sarah revealed Michael, who she's been dating for over a year 'loves magic' but she's not too keen.

'I like real magic like sunsets or how I can move my hands using only my mind, but I mean magic isn't real. It’s not real,' she confirmed during her chat with the Ellen.
