It has been more than 20 years since rocker Kurt Cobain committed suicide at the age of 27, devastating his family and millions of fans.

And it seems Courtney Love is still coming to terms with her husband's tragic death.

On Saturday she posted a snap on Instagram showing her sitting up against the end of a brass bed next to the Nirvana frontman who held their baby girl, Frances Bean, on his lap.

Sad memory: On Saturday Courtney Love posted this snap on Instagram showing herself, Kurt Cobain and their baby Frances Bean in 1992, two years before his suicide. She captioned if,  'Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..!?!?'

The tot was born in August 1992 so the picture was probably taken soon after.

In a wail of sorrow and regret, she captioned the photo with a note for Kurt, saying: 'Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..!?!? God I miss you, we all miss you,' and she added the hashtags  'family, memories turnbacktime and lovehim.'

On Wednesday, the 51-year-old seemed to be in sweet, more reflective mood when she shared a snap on Instagram showing her lying on the brass bed next to Kurt, who had his legs up against the bedhead, cradling their baby girl between his thighs.

More reflective: Saturday's outpouring followed this sweet photo of the family that Courtney posted on Wednesday captioned,  'My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories.'

Courtney captioned the photo, which appeared to have taken from the same shoot as Saturday's image: 'My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories.'

Kurt was found dead with a shotgun wound to his head at his home in Seattle, Washington, in April 1994, not long after checking out of rehab for drug addition in Los Angeles.

Courtney and Frances Bean, now 23, co-produced a heartbreaking documentary about Kurt, Montage Of Heck, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah in January and appeared on HBO in May.

The rocker was the frontwoman for Hole when she met Kurt and music has remained part of her life. In May she debuted a new single, Miss Narcissist.

However, she has also diversified into acting, recently securing a series of roles on television including a part on biker drama Sons of Anarchy.

The Pretty On The Inside singer also played deadly assassin White Gold on ABC drama Revenge, and faced off against Cookie as has-been rocker Elle Dallas on Fox's hit show Empire.

However, Courtney appeared to be in better spirits while out in West Hollywood on Monday evening.

The Live Through This rocker flashed a smile as she made her way to Craig's Restaurant.

The actress wore a fitted black and grey dress with a cute heart pendant, and slung a leather bag over her shoulder. In a nod to her '90s babydoll grunge style, she wore black lace heels.
