It seems age is just a number for Anthony LaPaglia.

The 56-year-old actor was attending the premiere of The Gift on Monday night with his new much younger girlfriend, Alexandra Henkel, 26 at Sydney’s Event Cinema.

Despite their 30-year age gap, the new couple looked smitten as they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand.

The Without A Trace actor started dating his new girlfriend – who is from Melbourne - after divorcing his wife of 17 years, Gia Carides, in March.

Posing for the obligatory red carpet shots, Alexandra flashed her best smile, whilst Anthony kept a straight solemn face.

Looking smart in a black suit, Anthony off set his crisp white shirt with a black and white spotted tie as he swapped his typically clean-shaven appearance for a beard.

Sticking to the all-black theme, Alexandra wore a dark noir shade of polish on her feet and hands, as she opted for a natural makeup look, just circling her eyes with thick dark liner and painting her lips with a nude gloss.

The pair initially went public with their budding romance as they attended the Los Angeles premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road together in May.

The couple walked the red carpet together and a source told Daily Mail Australia at the time that things were getting serious between the actor and his new love interest.

Meanwhile, Anthony and Alexander were spotted holding hands in Adelaide in February, one month before Anthony and Gia had officially announced their split.

Since going public with their relationship, the brunette has posted several photos of the couple together on Facebook, and another image shows a brand-new Mercedes-Benz with a large red ribbon on top.

The pricey present may well have been a gift from the Hollywood star, as Alexandra was celebrating her 26th birthday at the time.
