A star of the Bravo reality show Married to Medicine has lost her children, her marriage, cash and her house after she was arrested for attacking her husband.

Jill Connors struck her husband Dr. John Connors in the face and then attacked him with a spoon before allegedly stabbing herself with a knife in an incident that occurred on August 13 in front of the couple's children.

The 38 year old tried to claim it was her husband who stabbed her with the kitchen knife after he called 911, but police did not believe her story and she was arrested and charged with assault and cruelty to children.

After being booked into a county jail, she was released on a $4,000 bond.  According to TMZ, her spouse has since won a restraining order and was given temporary custody of her three children.

He is also believed to have withdrawn $250,000 from their joint account, leaving her virtually broke.

But Jill is reportedly trying to get it all back in divorce papers shortly after she was jailed.

TMZ reports that Jill admitted to the attack, telling police; 'I hit him, I started it, I know.'

It was after that however that she allegedly began cutting herself in the arm and chest while yelling; 'He's cutting me!'

Just six days later - on August 19 - she filed papers for divorce.

The incident occurred after Dr. Connors found texts between his wife and another man on her cell phone.

Jill, 36, also ripped off her husband's shirt and scratched his back during the attack.

The police reports claims that Dr. Connors told her that if she was cheating he would take their children - three boys aged 11, nine and seven.

In an interview with Fashion & Style earlier this year, Jill admitted to having a boyfriend at the time she met her now-estranged husband.

Jill - who joined Medicine during the show's third season - has a law degree, but since being married has spent her time managing her husband's plastic surgery practice.

She called her husband the 'most professional man and respectful physician that I have ever met' in an interview earlier this year with Pop Culture Z.

She then added; 'I am so lucky to have a husband like John. He always finds a way to make me feel confident and beautiful.

'Whether it is a smile at me while I walk down the hallway, a light touch of my shoulder, or him telling me that I look beautiful, I am confident that I am the only woman who makes his heart flutter.'

In that same interview she said she also enjoyed working out, especially classes including 'boxing, kickboxing and self-defense.'
