Michelle Carter, 18, is charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly encouraging the death of Conrad Roy III - who gassed himself in his truck in the carpark of a K-Mart in Fairhaven in July 2014 - through hundreds of text messages. The Bristol County District Attorney's Office released the shocking messages on Friday that appear to graphically show how the teen encouraged Roy to commit suicide.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is putting a new twist on the topic of securing the border, a staple among the GOP candidates running for president, by pointing north. Walker said in an interview that aired Sunday that building a wall along the country's norther border with Canada is a legitimate issue that merits further review. Police say the remains of a Colorado man who has been missing since 2012 have been found in eastern Nevada. The family of Robin Putnam (pictured left and on the flyer) announced on Facebook Friday night that his body was found in a remote area near railroad tracks about 15 miles outside of Wells, Nevada. Putnam was 23 years old when he was last seen in July of 2012 getting off an Amtrak train in downtown Salt Lake City.

From horse riding to hunting, Vladimir Putin has long portrayed himself as Russia's action-man president and this morning was no different with the Russian president being pictured working out with prime minister Dmitry Medvedev in his gym in Sochi. Amazingly, Putin managed to resist the urge to rip off his t-shirt, preferring to complete his whole workout without revealing his famous torso. Jimmy Rodgers (left), 25, and Curtis Wayne Wright Jr (right in right picture), 47, who were arrested on Thursday in connection to the death of Teresa Sievers (right), 46, appeared to spend time together at least twice in the weeks before the mother-of-two was found dead. The have both been charged with second-degree murder. In photos shared by Rodgers's girlfriend, Taylor Shomaker (center in right pictured) on Facebook, it appears that the men spent time together in May and June. Siever's body was found in her family's Bonita Springs, Florida, home on June 29.

Juan Romero from San Jose, California, was only 17 at when the Senator was shot dead in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles 47 years ago. The 65 year concrete and asphalt paver has revealed he has battled with the memory of the events for decades, insisting he feels responsible for what happened. The deadly shooting unfolded just after midnight on June 5, 1968 after he had won the California presidential primary and made his victory speech in the ballroom to adoring supporters. The Mexican, who had moved to the United States at the age of 10, wanted to congratulate the man who many believe represented social justice and understood the plight of immigrants. So he reached out his hand as he made his way through the kitchen, but as Kennedy returned the gesture, he fell to the floor. Romero has told himself over the years that his actions led to his death.

A Texas middle school has decided to forgo the tradition fundraisers like bake sales and holiday gift catalogs for a more straightforward scheme: asking for cash. Dee Wise Heinz, mother to a 7th grader at the Dallas-area school, was at first surprised to get a fundraiser letter on just the second day of school. But when she read it, her annoyance turned to delight. The first item on offer, for $15: 'I do not want to bake, so here is the money I would have spent on those cupcakes.'

Jeffrey Fairbanks, 45, has admitted to smothering his 3-month-old daughter Janna Rivera and then disposing of her body, Indianapolis cops say. Fairbanks was arrested Thursday despite initially claiming he found her lifeless before placing her body in a cornfield with a cross. Janna's body has never been found. Fairbanks is now charged with murder and neglect of a dependent resulting in death.

Thousands of bicyclists in various stages of undress have pedaled their way around the city to promote fuel conservation and positive body image. The Philly Naked Bike Ride on Saturday featured people sporting masks, underwear, body paint, glitter or nothing at all. A lot of riders wore just their shoes. Debbie Kaighn, who was riding in the popular annual event for the third time, wore shoes, socks and body paint. On her front were streaks and splashes of yellow and green paint, and on her back was the message 'Live free, ride nude.'

A man who claims to have been struck by lightning 11 times in his life insists he is telling the truth, despite disbelief from experts and the Guinness World Records. Melvyn Roberts (right), 62, from Seneca in South Carolina, claims to have been struck in the sunshine, while driving a bulldozer, and twice while mowing the lawn. Doctors say Mr Roberts' injuries are consistent with lightning strikes (top left) - including multiple exit wounds (bottom left).

A supermoon, a larger moon (top right) which occurs when the Moon is either full or new at the same time as it approaches its closest orbit to Earth, dazzled sky-watchers across the globe on Saturday. The phenomenon is expected two more times this year, with the closest and biggest supermoon of the year taking place on September 28. That month will see the full supermoon coincide with a lunar eclipse giving the celestial orb a reddish tint, known as a Blood Moon.

An eccentric terrace with several underground chambers which has been described as 'a dungeon' has gone under the hammer for more than $400,000 above reserve. About 180 people tuned up for the auctioning of 167 Moor Street, in northeast Melbourne's Fitzroy, with many spectators commenting on the nature of the previous owner's bizarre basement. The new owners have unbridled access to the properties unorthodox features, which include a make-shift elevator hidden inside a wardrobe inside the dirty dungeon. The Fon tribe of Benin are believers in voodoo and 'raise' twin children who die in childhood as if they were alive. They believe their spirits occupy the wooden effigies and will bring the family good luck if they are well cared for - and an evil curse if they are not.
