A preview for next week's episode of I Am Cait showed the transgender TV star coming face to face with ex-wife Kris Jenner for the first time since her transition.

Caitlyn, 65, at the end of Sunday's episode was seen telling friends: 'Kris and I haven't talked in months. She hasn't called me in a year.'

She was then shown picking up the phone and telling the 59-year-old Kardashian matriarch she would like to see her.

Wearing a figure hugging blue dress, the short clip showed Caitlyn opening the door of her home and seeing Kris standing on the doorstep.

'Well look who's here,' Caitlyn said.

'Oh my goodness,' Kris exclaimed.

Caitlyn earlier in the episode confessed she was 'scared to death' about getting back into the dating world.

The 65-year-old reality star discussed her relationship fears as her transgender friends encouraged her to look for love and pressed her on whether she is attracted to men or women.

Caitlyn avoided giving a direct answer to the question.

'They have to realise that it’s been a month or two that I’ve been out, so I honestly haven’t even thought, or been approached, or been tempted in any direction. It scares me to death. It’s kind of like getting fed to the wolves.'

Caitlyn, who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, was quizzed about her dating preferences during her documentary reality series.

During a girls’ lunch with pal Candis Cayne she expressed confusion over trans dating etiquette and which one of them should pay for the meal.

'I opened the door for you coming in. If I opened the door for you, that means I should also pick the check up,' she said.

'You always pick the check up. Just once, you should have the check picked up for you,' Candis insisted.

Caitlyn laughed: 'This whole dating thing is getting so confusing. I just don’t know how to do it all.'

Candis, who starred in Dirty Sexy Money, took Caitlyn on a night out at The Abbey in the gay enclave of West Hollywood, but the reality TV star admitted the raucous bar was not her scene.

'This place really scares me,' she said. 'It’s not really my style. I don’t think I need this in my life.'

She admitted to friend Jenny Boylan that she felt 'a little bit uncomfortable' at The Abbey.

'They had guys dancing all over the place. Could I stare at the guy? No. Plus they were all packing, In The Abbey they’re all packing,' she joked about the gay bar.

Jenny pressed Caitlyn on whether she was interested in men or women, but the I Am Cait star danced around the subject.

'Right now I’m just so obsessed with educating people. I’m so excited about this, I’m really not thinking about things on the outside,' she said.

When Jenny pointed out that she was 'running away' from the issue, she admitted: 'Probably, but I’ve only been divorced two years.'

'So you can see yourself with a woman?' Jenny asked.

'Well I’ve always been with women. I don’t have a problem with that,' Caitlyn said.

She added: 'It would be very attractive to me to have a guy treat me like a woman.'

Jenny told her: 'You don’t need a man to make you a woman. You’ve gone to such trouble to be a woman. Don’t be a stupid one, be a smart one.'

After Jenny told her she was worried about her not letting herself be loved, Caitlyn said: 'I’ll play that card someday.'

Caitlyn, who helped Candis get her car fixed and also borrowed a Lamborghini for her to drive as a surprise, was concerned when Candis invited a matchmaking service to her house and encouraged her to take part.

Candis, who previously said she believes Caitlyn is attracted to women, told her: 'I’m excited about trying to get you matched up also.'

'Not in a million years,' Caitlyn said. 'I don’t need a matchmaking service.'

Candis and matchmaking expert Louie Felix, encouraged a reluctant Caitlyn to fill out a form asking what she deems most important when looking for a partner.

Picking up the pen, she confessed: 'Physically I don’t know where I’m at.'

Louie, who asked them to give a percentage, out of 100, for each category, said: 'Most men that take this chemistry analysis, they think more masculine, they start with the lowest percentage.'

'Damn it,' Caitlyn said. 'That’s what I did. I thought I had this transition down.'

But Louie encouraged her.

'You’re the type of person who takes a bit of time to get to know someone, so you’re going to date your best friend,' he said.

Caitlyn told the camera: 'Going through life with a partner is always more fun. It’s probably a little bit more complicated now I’ve been out, but it’s possible.

'I never want to give up on love or partnership. I would be sad to give up on that. I have no idea what the future holds when it comes to dating and relationships and all that kind of stuff, but I certainly wouldn’t say no to anything.'

Caitlyn and Candis also were shown visiting a summer camp for transgender youth.

They were on the same team for a tug-of-war contest with campers.
