On Saturday Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's three children enjoyed a day out with mum.

And on Sunday it was time for Ben to spend some quality time with Seraphina, six, Violet, nine, and Samuel, three, as they went for a shopping trip in Santa Monica.

The Batman star was the centre of attention as his three little ones rushed to hold his hand during the low-key trip.

After a difficult few weeks, Ben looked relaxed and happy as he spent time with his kids.

The star announced in June that he and Jennifer were ending their marriage, one day after their ten-year anniversary, but since then both parents have made their children the priority.

Ben was dressed in jeans, a green t-shirt and trainers as he strolled out of a craft store with the trio, with the actor sporting a heavy beard.

Seraphina was summery in a striped dress and shades while her little sister was in a pretty skirt and flip flops.

Little Samuel was in shorts and a tee as he held hands with his dad, while Ben wrapped an arm around his girls.

The day before, the three children stopped by a farmer's market with their mum, with Jennifer and Ben spending time separately with the children as well as together since announcing the end of their marriage.

It has been claimed that the former couple's previous nanny Christine Ouzounian had an affair with Ben, and while the allegations haven't been confirmed the now estranged couple have recently hired a team of new nannies to help out with the childcare.

While the former couple treated their children to a trip to Disneyland recently, it's thought that relations have been strained since they returned home to Los Angeles after a stint in Georgia, where Jennifer was filming her new movie.

The ex couple had continued to share a house post split - a rental near to their mansion which is currently under renovation - but Jennifer is reportedly considering changing that living situation.

'Jen will always make sure that Ben spends as much time with the kids as he wants, but she is rethinking their living situation,' a family source has told People. 'She can't stand the situation Ben has put her and the kids in.'
