Good grief! Lupita Nyong'o shows she's still just a kid at heart in Snoopy and Charlie Brown T-shirt at JFK

But Lupita Nyong'o changed it up as she went for a striking yet playfully relaxed style as she jetted into New York's JFK Airport on Thursday.

The 32-year-old actress donned a nostalgic Charlie Brown and Snoopy T-shirt which showed off her trim waist.

The film is based on the true story of a girl from rural Uganda who dreams of leaving her poverty-stricken home behind to become a champion chess player.

She said: 'First of all, I am from East Africa, from Kenya, which is just next door to Uganda. It was invaluable. I met Phiona and her mother and they are just incredible people.'

She also said people from the slums of Katwe have 'dignity' and that the area is 'a difficult place to live. She also said filming there 'did sober us and enliven us. To have that vibe was really exciting.'
