'I'm trusting in God': Pregnant Jessa Duggar puts on a brave face at event with husband Ben as her brother's scandalous secret life overshadows 19 Kids And Counting family

Jessa Duggar Seewald isn't letting her brother Josh's scandals stop her from spreading the word abut her own life and what it means to her to be a part of the Duggar family.

The 22-year-old stopped by the Southern Women's Show in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday for a meet and greet with fans and to promote her book Growing Up Duggar: It's All About Relationships.

Asked by People magazine how she is coping with all the adverse publicity surrounding her brother's confessions of adultery and porn addiction, she replied: 'You just have to keep your focus and trust God.'

Jessa, who is seven and a half months pregnant with her first child, was accompanied at the event by her husband Ben Seewald, 20.

She opted for comfort wearing a full-length loose-fitting black dress and tan sandals and every now and then rested a hand on her burgeoning baby bump.

Her husband of less than a year was dressed in jeans and a striped short-sleeved shirt.

It was revealed in May that Jessa and her older sister Jill were among five girls molested by Josh Duggar when he was a teen. The news led to the cancellation of 19 Kids And Counting by the TLC network.

The sisters went on Fox News in June to talk about what had happened and Jessa defended her brother and said she had forgiven him.

The 22-year-old, however, has not addressed directly the latest scandalous revelations that have led to Josh, 27, being admitted to a residential addiction rehab facility in Rockford, Illinois, this week.

But she clearly has the support of her husband and is happy to lean on him during these troubled times.

During a Q&A at the Women's Southern Show, he said they took a simple approach to dealing with the furore.

'You have to stay true to yourself and your foundation,' said Ben.

Jessa has been turning even more to her religious faith as she deals with Josh's admissions of using the Ashley Madison website and being unfaithful to his wife Anna, the mother of his four children.

A week ago, she shared a biblical passage about sin and forgiveness on her Instagram account and posted a photo of an open bible with several verses underlined that read: 'If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.'

'But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanest us from all sin.'

The axing of the reality TV series and her brother's wrongdoings, however, have cast a long shadow over Jessa's first year of marriage and her pregnancy.

When her sister Jill gave birth to her son Israel in April, she got her own TLC reality special.

But now, instead of being the center of attention and the focus of a reality show, as she had anticipated, she finds herself dealing with the ongoing fallout of her brother's actions.

'She was in such a joyous moment in her life. Instead the show isn't there to chronicle this happy time,' an unnamed source told People earlier this month. 'So much has changed for Jessa compared to what Jill experienced and it can't be changed back. And that's sad for her.'

Jessa, though, has continued to post updates about her pregnancy including photos of her growing baby bump and an image of her most recent scan on her Instagram account.

She and Ben, who have opted not to reveal their baby's gender, have also invited fans to vote on whether they think they're having a boy, girl or even twins.

'The nursery is neutral,' Jessa said on Saturday. 'Our house is tiny, the nursery will also be the guest room. We haven't told anyone what we are doing in the nursery.'

As for one day making a return to reality TV, it's something the couple say they're open to.

'I wouldn't rule it out if people were interested in our family,' Ben said.
