She may be heir to one of the biggest hotel empires in the world but that hasn't stopped Paris Hilton from making her own way in life.

The 34-year-old model, socialite, businesswoman and DJ, has been quietly carving out her own empire behind the scenes.

As the heir to the Hilton Hotel empire toasts a decade of making fragrances - and unveils her 18th scent to celebrate - FEMAIL caught up with the star to find out the secrets behind her success, plans for the future and hopes of starting a family.

As Paris Hilton unveils her eighteenth fragrance from her £1bn perfume portfolio, FEMAIL catches up with the businesswoman to chat all things fragrance

Paris, who says she knew she wanted to create a fragrance ever since she was a little girl, has unveiled With Love, Paris Hilton, a new scent dedicated to her loving and loyal fans around the world.

The businesswoman has certainly turned her passion for fragrance into a lucrative business; her perfume portfolio is worth £1bn, making her scents some of the most successful in the world.

'I am so proud of what I have built; it's a dream come true,' she muses.

As her 17th creation, Paris explains that her new scent is a fresh and sophisticated departure from her past fragrances - and it's wholly dedicated to her fans.

'It's inspired by my fans and is like a love letter for them, it has notes of green apple and jasmine. It is elegant and beautiful.'

Not one to rest on her laurels, Paris is already working on creating her next three scents - all in between managing her 17 other product lines, which range from fashion to shoes, and working as a successful DJ around the world.

Whilst she has a CV to rival most other stars, there's one woman that Paris looks up to.

'I love Victoria Beckham,' she said. 'She is my modern day style icon and she always looks incredible, whether she's at the airport or out and about.

'I love her brand too, it's amazing she has transitioned from a pop star to an incredible designer. Plus, she has a beautiful family.'

Paris is already getting to work creating her next three scents - all in between managing her 17 other product lines - which range from fashion to shoes - and working as a successful DJ around the world.

Now Paris, who launched her multi-faceted career alongside Nicole Richie in The Simple Life, is focussing on her future, which will be full of business and - she hopes - family.

The star, who has been dating Swiss businessman, Thomas Gross, 39, for a few months, concluded: 'What's next? Well, I have done everything I put my mind to. I want to continue working and be happy and healthy with a family.'
