Better than a mugshot! Jenelle Evans hits the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet less than two weeks after her arrest for assault
Jenelle Evans looked happy and put-together when she hit the red carpet prior to the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 23-year-old Teen Mom 2 star offered a smile while heading into her network's signature event.
Her happiness might have partially derived from the fact that Jenelle managed to be there, despite the awards show coming less than two weeks after her most recent arrest.

Dark brown hair was left loose and fell in curls halfway down Jenelle's back, a suitable style with the reality star's simple and natural makeup.
For a dress, Jenelle stayed relatively conservative with a black-and-white beaded shift dress that featured long sleeves and a nearly knee-length skirt.
Black heels with grommet-studded straps finished off the mother of two's look.

A visit to California and attendance at her first VMA show did not seem likely less than two weeks earlier, when Jenelle was arrested for assault.
Having gotten into a fight with ex-fiance Nathan Griffith's girlfriend on August 20, Jenelle allegedly threw a drinking glass at the 29-year-old woman, according to TMZ.
This was not Jenelle's first brush with the law - she has been arrested 13 times since she first came to fame on MTV's Teen Mom 2 in 2011.

Jenelle's previous arrests have come from heroin possession, attacking ex-husband Courtland Rogers, stalking, harassment, breaking and entering, violating a restraining order, and infamously beating up another girl on a front lawn.
She even lost custody of her now-six-year-old son, Jace, to Jenelle's mother, Barbara.
Although this situation has strained the mother and daughter's relationship, they seemed to be on good terms during their California holiday, visiting the beach and other locations together.
