He has enjoyed a string of high-profile romances but despite his reputation Russell Brand has managed to keep a low-profile after splitting from heiress Jemima Khan last year.

The comedian was pictured with his arm around a mystery blonde while attending the very low-key Baltonsborough Village Show in Somerset on Monday.

The comedian turned actor showed off his tall stature in a pair of distressed jeans which he wore with contrasting blue and orange laced Nike trainers.

Sporting an overgrown beard and thick mane of hair, Russell was seen with his arm around the mystery blonde, who suitably matched the 40-year-old in her own brightly coloured footwear.

Although there was nothing to suggest that the two are romantically involved, Russell was keen to make sure his friend was kept warm for the rainy outing.

Baring his long and slim legs in a pair of denim jeans that ripped at the knees, Russell looked content as he enjoyed a low-key afternoon during the Bank Holiday weekend.

Russell's blonde friend showed off her trim physique in slim-fitting black jeans, teaming her stylish look with a biker leather jacket.

The pretty lady walked wore her hair in a messy top knot style, keeping her eyes covered in a large pair of pink rimmed sunglasses.

Showing off her natural beauty for the outing, the pretty lady wore minimal make-up for the time she spent with her famous friend.

Chatting away, the two looked as though they were enjoying their day at the village fate, which had street performances and live music from a local jazz band.

Russell dressed casually for the day as he attempted to keep a low profile but it wasn't long before a fan wanted a picture with the politically minded TV presenter.

Russell ended his relationship with former flame Jemima in 2014 after claiming that she had helped him to curb his womanising ways.

‘I’m going to be really kind in this relationship,’ Russell said, after his marriage to pop star Katy Perry ended less than a year after they exchanged vows.

‘I haven’t been out there trying to nail everyone. I’m very, very happy in a relationship that feels very different from anything I’ve experienced before.

‘I feel like it’s grounded in friendship and a sort of love and it’s all well cool and exciting and stuff.’
