Happy day: Sum 41 singer and new bride Ariana Cooper share a non-alcoholic toast with apple cider after they tied the knot at Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles on Sunday
Whibley had collapsed in his living room. He was in the hospital for a month, and doctors put him in a medically induced coma as they worked to save his life, at one point admitting they were not sure he would survive the ordeal.
In fact, doctors told the musician that his organs were so damaged from years of alcohol abuse that even one drink could kill him.
The singer took their advice to heart and swore off booze.

'Guests dined on a four-course meal catered by Wolfgang Puck and carefully selected by Deryck before later noshing on doughnuts for a fun midnight snack,' a source added.
