'We were trying to work it out with the stars': Ashley Hart says ASTROLOGY prompted secret marriage to Buck Palmer

Ashley Hart has spoken out about her secret wedding to Buck Palmer earlier this year.

Speaking to the Kyle & Jackie O Show on Tuesday morning to promote the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, the 27-year-old ambassador revealed part of the reason for her impromptu nuptials, was to do with astrology.

'(We were) looking up when it would work astrology wise, cause we're both a bunch of hippies trying to work it out with the stars,' she told the breakfast radio duo about planning her big day.

Then, during a quick trip back 'home' to Los Angeles, the Australian-born model and her fiance woke up one morning and decided to elope, which Ashley says was a huge relief.

'Buck and I had been planning the wedding for a long time and honestly not agreeing on a lot of things, trying to please people,' she told the radio duo.

'We had been engaged for a year and we woke up and thought: "you know what, let's just get married",' she confessed. 

Having bought a US$60 vintage dress on Melrose Ave the day before, the model confesses her dress 'wasn't even white!'

'I never thought I would get married in it but put it on and called a little chapel and we were married,' Ashley detailed on radio.

The newlywed also admitted she didn't pre-warn her parents or Victoria's Secret model sister, Jessica Hart, telling them only after the couple had exchanged vows.

Earlier this month, the blonde beauty told Daily Mail Australia the May wedding was extremely intimate: 'We might as well have been naked... it was that exclusive'.

'We just wanted to have it done… it was a pretty funny experience,'she said.

Of her sister's absence, she went on: 'Apart from her not being there and organising stuff – which she was not happy about – I don’t think it makes her relationship [with Stavros Niarchos III] any different.' 

Now the pair, plan to celebrate their wedding with a big party for family and friends. 

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) which is taking place from 28th August to the 4th September.
