And as Taylor celebrated her Video of the Year Moonman at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night, her best pal Selena Gomez partied into the night with her.

Selena looked gorgeous in a racy double split dress as she got a kiss from her superstar pal at the Republic Records afterparty at Ysabel in Los Angeles.

Selena and Taylor posed up a storm with Bad Blood girls Lily Aldridge, Martha Hunt and Hailee Steinfeld after the group strutted down the red carpet together at the Microsoft Theater earlier in the evening.

Keen to continue the party after Bad Blood picked up one of the night's biggest gongs alongside two other wins for Taylor's other 1989 album hit Blank Space, the girls hit the celeb-packed afterparty across town.

Taylor looked gorgeous in her striking houndstooth crop top and matching trousers by Ashish teamed with metallic Christian Louboutin heels.

Swapping minimalism for something with a whole lot more sex appeal, Selena’s second dress of the evening ramped up the glam factor with its cut out paneling and thigh high slits.

After her bestie took home the coveted Video of the Year Moonman, Selena proudly posted: 'Wouldn't have it any other way! SHE WON!! Vid of the YEAR! So proud of all the ladies! That's what it's truly about!'

Taylor bought her friends onstage for her big speech, and after thanking her collaborator on the track Kendrick Lamar, she had an important message for her fans about the controversial video.
