Seeing red! Ali Larter swaps blonde 'do for new fiery locks as she preps for next installment of Resident Evil series

She's reprising her role as Claire Redfield in the latest installation of the Resident Evil films.

And Ali Larter is finally ready for action, as she transformed her long locks from blonde to red on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old actress showed off her updated 'do as she left Meche Salon in Los Angeles.

The Final Destination star looked uber cool, showing off her scarlet strands while clad in a boho multicoloured blouse and cropped white cargo-inspired trousers.

She was also sporting nude heels and carrying a matching tan reptile-embosssed handbag.

'Getting ready for #claireredfield #residentevilmovie #red,' Ali wrote with a close-up snap of her deep red tresses, which her coloured by her stylist, Tracey Cunningham.

Later, the mother-of-two had a chance to show off her fresh style, as she attended The A List 15th Anniversary Party in Beverly Hills, California.

Ali was spotted in a white and black striped mini dress which she teamed with simple black open-toe, ankle-strap stilettos.

The star, who is married to Hayes MacArthur, carried a petite burgundy clutch to match her hair.

Ali looked to be in fabulous shape after welcoming her second child, daughter Vivienne, only seven months ago.

She and her beau also have a four-year-old son, Theodore.

Ali will soon be shooting Resident Evil: The Final Chapter alongside Milla Jovovich.
