Brian Austin Green is spotted with his wedding ring STILL on at grocery store two weeks after Megan Fox filed for divorce

His estranged wife Megan Fox filed for divorce on August 21 and was seen without her wedding ring on earlier this week.

Perhaps Brian Austin Green was holding out hope their marriage could be saved as he stocked up on groceries at his local Gelson's supermarket in Los Angeles.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 42, was still wearing his gold wedding band, even though he cut a solitary figure while loading the food-stuffed bags into the back of his white BMW.

Brian, who played the heartthrob David Silver on the long-running teen-oriented series and currently stars on TV's Anger Management, looked far from character on this outing.

The actor sported a fair amount of facial hair as though he hadn't touched a razor in days, and kept his eyes hidden behind opaque dark shades.

Brian bore a serious expression while clad in a plain and simple white T-shirt along with navy cargo shorts and blue trainers.

He focused on the task at hand, loading two brown paper bags into the vehicle at a time.

Megan, on the other hand, stepped out on August 26 for the first time since filing for divorce to take her son Bodhi for a walk in sunny Los Angeles.

While the fair-skinned, dark-haired beauty stayed under the cover of a wide-brimmed hat, it was evident that she had ditched the wedding ring on her left hand.

The couple began a relationship in 2004 and wed in 2010, and in June of this year they separated, according to Us Weekly.

Megan cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for filing her divorce petition and is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple's children, Noah, who turns three this month, and 19-month-old Bodhi.

It's been claimed that the actress may end up having to pay spousal support to Green.

The actor has not been working much since he was involved in a serious car accident last December, according to TMZ.

The couple was hit by a drunk driver in a head-on collision and while they weren't injured, it has been claimed the incident triggered a medical condition called Vertigo and as a result, Green hasn't been able to work.

Meanwhile, Megan has wrapped production on two Hollywood movies - Zeroville with James Franco and Will Ferrell and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
