He's such a hipster! Trendy Andrew Garfield wears grey handkerchief in his back pocket as he heads to Jimmy Kimmel Live

He is thought to be back with his beautiful ex Emma Stone after they were spotted enjoying a flurry of dates together in recent times.

So perhaps Andrew Garfield felt like celebrating by unleashing his inner hipster when he wore a grey handkerchief in his back pocket as he headed to the Jimmy Kimmel Live show in Hollywood on Thursday.

The 32-year-old actor wore a cheeky grin as he was spotted emerging from a gated area in his unique stylistic mode.

The axed Amazing Spider-Man star arguably pulled off the notoriously difficult hobo chic look in his blue T-shirt, brown jeans and trendy New Balance running shoes.

The Andy Murray lookalike's new long-haired look meant he looked much less like his popular namesake, which will surely be a boon at he moment as the US Open is taking place.

He will no doubt have had much to tell  jolly Jimmy during his appearance on the show, not least exciting stories about his time filming his latest movie 99 Home, in which he plays a struggling single father evicted from his home by a corrupt real estate broker.

Back in June Emma seemingly confirmed the pair were still together as she stated: ‘It’s so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don’t talk about it.'

She did however briefly comment on the images of her carrying a bag with Andrew’s name on it when it was rumoured they had split.

The Easy A actress admitted: ‘When I picked up the bag, I was like, “This is kind of funny if there are any [paparazzi] out there.”

'There’s probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it’s false, I would rather just let it be false.’

She added: ‘See, I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason—because it’s all so speculative and baseless.’

After his second Spider-Man film performed well below studio expectations the series was unceremoniously axed and a reboot is now in the works with Tom Holland taking as the webhead.

Andrew has since whined about the difficulties of having the film's makers trying to please everybody.

'With a film like ['The Amazing Spider-Man'], there's so much projection and expectation that is inherent in taking on a story and character like that,' he said.

'The pressure to get it right, to please everyone… it's not going to happen,' he went on. You end up pleasing no one, or everyone just a little bit. Like, "Eh, that was good."

'[The films are] mass-marketed, like "We want 50-year-old white men to love it, gay teenagers to love it, bigot homophobes in Middle America to love it, 11-year-old girls to love it." That's canning Coke.'

Andrew will next appear in 99 Homes with Laura Dern and Michael Shannon, while Stone will star opposite Ryan Gosling for the third time, in La La Land.

Andrew, who has studied the work of quack Swiss psychologist Carl Jung in the past, also served as the film's producer.

A follower of Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung's theories are today considered by many to be an elaborate form of pseudo-science.

The Swiss was a believer in astrology, spiritualism, telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance and ESP.
