UnREAL star Freddie Stroma joins cast of Game Of Thrones as Samwell's brother Dickon Tarly for season six 

Freddie Stroma has been cast in Game Of Thrones.

The British actor, 28, will play Dickon Tarly, brother of John Bradley's character Samwell, in the sixth season of the hit HBO fantasy drama, according to Variety.

Stroma most recently starred on Lifetime show UnREAL, where he played Adam Cromwell, an eligible bachelor who is manipulated on the set of a fake reality dating show.

The London-born actor also played Cormac McLaggen in two Harry Potter films.  

Game Of Thrones, based on the books by George RR Martin, has become an international sensation, and the role is sure to be a significant step in Stroma's career.

In the books, Dickon is described as Samwell's younger and fitter brother, who became heir to their father's fortune after Sam was cruelly forced out.

Stroma joins a number of new faces who will appear on Game Of Thrones next season.

Former Deadwood star Ian McShane has also signed on, and will appear in a mysterious part which is being kept under wraps.

Danish actor Pilou Asbaek will also join the show as Euron Greyjoy, and screen legend Max von Sydow will take over the role of Three-Eyed Raven.

Game of Thrones, which was recently nominated for 24 Emmys, is currently in production and is tipped to return for 10 episodes next year. 

HBO recently confirmed plans to take the show to at least eight seasons.
