'Cookie was a monster who was totally out of control. Sally was a girl who was totally in control. Could these two very different characters ever be friends?' the intro to the five minute clip asks.

Set in a replica of the famous Katz's Deli in New York, the scene opens with the hungry Cookie barging past Sally and the rest of the customers waiting in line to order.

Sally, rocking Meg Ryan's voluminous crimped blonde hair and wearing a spot-on replica black jumper over a buttoned up blouse, recognises Cookie as 'that monster who's so rude and messy'.

Cookie meanwhile, wearing Billy Crystal's wool pullover and a curly black wig, is equally unimpressed, recalling Sally as 'very neat and only eat cookie at desert'.

After butting heads in the line, Sally patiently explains to Cookie that he must wait his turn to order, offering to play games with him to pass the time, but the ravenous monster keeps getting distracted by the promise of food.

Finally, they both sit opposite each other at a table mirroring the most famous scene from Rob Reiner's 1989 comedy.

As they animatedly devour their cookie dessert together, an onlooking lady patron tells the waiter: 'I'll have what they're having'.

While Sally thankfully doesn't fake an orgasm at the end, the clip is still loaded with sexual references.

The first game they play in the queue is Pat-a-cake - the original lyrics of which are 'prick it, prick it and throw it into the oven' - which was infamously used as a euphemism for sex in the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

In the second game they play, Cookie Monster is trying to find the salami.
