A topless street performer working in Times Square has been busted after allegedly offering oral sex and drugs to an undercover cop.

Destiny Romero, 20, was arrested just before midnight on Wednesday after 'propositioning' the male officer at the New York City tourist hotspot.

According to the New York Daily News, she reportedly offered him $200 worth of narcotics and offered to perform the sex act on him, also for $200. She has since been charged with three counts of drug possession and one count of prostitution.

Her handler Jason Perez, 23, has also been charged - with promoting prostitution, sale and possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Romero has been arrested at least five times, including an assault charge on July 15, sources told the Daily Post. Perez was arrested in September last year for marijuana possession and in October for grand larceny, the sources said.

Romero is just one of numerous semi-naked women who pose for tips with tourists in Times Square. Last month they hit the headlines when Mayor Bill de Blasio said he was looking into whether the topless performers could be removed from the area.

He said: 'as a human being and a parent, I don’t think it’s appropriate, in the middle of one of the busiest squares in New York City, that women should display themselves that way.'

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a South Carolina businessman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting one of the women after accusing them of taking his wallet.

Bank of America executive Mark Walters, 46, reportedly took a picture with Lourdes Carrasquillo, 20, outside a Sephora cosmetics store on Broadway and realized his wallet was missing when he tried to tip her, a source told the Daily News.

In response, he allegedly shoved Carrasquillo to the ground.

Maria Ruiz, 32, Carrasquillo's roommate in the Bronx who also works on the Crossroads of the World, tried to intervene.

But Walters, from Charleston, allegedly struck her near the right ear. He was then arrested by a police officer who was on foot patrol nearby. He has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and was awaiting arraignment Thursday.

Reports suggest Carrasquillo had nowhere on her body to hide the wallet.

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Ruiz refused medical attention.

Complaints have been made over the influx of topless women prancing around Times Square and charging tourists to be in photos, deeming it inappropriate and offensive.

The women, who cover their bodies in paint and and typically wear nothing but a thong, are not in trouble for being topless - which is legal in New York City - but for posing with underage children.

The number of women at the tourist mecca have doubled in the last year, with about 40 walking around Times Square on the weekends, according to the Daily News.
