'He treats you like one of his family. He shows huge respect for his players. His demands are high but if there is criticism it’s so that we can improve and become stronger.

Pedro got his Premier League career off to a flier when he netted his first goal for the club against West Brom on his debut.

The 28-year-old helped his side earn all three points at The Hawthorns with a stellar performance, but Pedro admits it wasn't easy to leave Barcelona.

Pedro, who spent more than a decade with the Catalan club, added: 'It was very hard to leave Barcelona because I was born and raised there. Thanks to them I won it all.'

Marca also shed some extra light on the David de Gea fiasco just hours after the Manchester United No 1's move to Real Madrid fell through.

The Spanish publication claims Madrid are hoping De Gea does not put pen-to-paper on a new deal with United as they have no interest in dealing with them in the future.

The Turin-club lost Carlos Tevez, Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo this summer, but Marotta is in no mood to lower his high standards.

Allegri is featured in fellow Italian publication Tuttosport, with the Juventus manager predicting a big season for star midfielder Paul Pogba.

He told Tuttosport: 'Paul is exceptional, I never doubted he would stay. Important players left, but others of great quality arrived. We started badly and this must push us on to give more.'
