Gail Porter's time in the Celebrity Big Brother house has not been smooth sailing.

And it appears the constant arguing on the Channel 5 fly-on-the-wall show is finally getting the better of the Scottish star after she grew extremely emotional on Thursday night.

The 44-year-old TV presenter begged housemates Janice Dickinson and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello to help make peace in the argument-plagued environment.

The emotional outburst was triggered after Janice politely asked Gail to close a door she opened.

Clearly building up her rage in the conflict-ridden house, an incensed Gail stormed over to the women who were enjoying a cigarette break in the garden, alongside Chloe-Jasmine's fiance Stevi Richie.

Gail vented: 'Can everyone please... Just this arguing and nastiness, just give it a break please... It's not all about you [Janice]... Just make it work, please, please... I cry and I get it together and I go, "OK, we're a gang let's talk"...

'Everyone's hurting people because that's the reason they put us together! Because we are a group who wouldn't get on. It's a game!'

Gail revealed that she wished her housemates, a blend of American and British stars in the UK vs. US-themed house, were 'clever enough to get their heads together.'

This remark clearly struck a chord in an offended Chloe-Jasmine who responded: 'Everyone in here is very intelligent. I think they know exactly what they're doing, Gail.'

Taking things to heart: Chloe-Jasmine was clearly offended by the generalised statement and responded: 'Everyone in here is very intelligent. I think they know exactly what they're doing, Gail.

Gail seemed to backtrack on her statement, replying: 'I'm not saying anyone's not intelligent I'm saying taking into consideration different personalities...

'There's gonna be someone that's gonna be strong, there's gonna be someone that's off the wall, there's gonna someone who's going to make us cry.

'Do you know what we have to do... Pull together... Rise above it.'

Her patience has already been tried after part of the transformation of the CBB house into a royal palace, Team UK - the Royal Family - were informed they would not do any chores for the rest of the week, and will be waited on by their 'palace staff' in the shape of Team USA.

Gail has been open about her severe OCD and obsession with cleanliness so she broke down in tears, at the news of not being allowed to dishes, announcing that she no longer liked taking part in the reality-TV game.

Her impassioned rant on Thursday came after arguments erupted in the house yet again, when the first round of nominations took place on Wednesday night.

Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham was at the centre of the fracas as the housemates ganged up on her for allegedly being 'rude', 'petty', and a 'sarcastic little b****'.

The result of the dramatic nominations saw Farrah, Janice, Jenna, Chris, Daniel and Stevi and Chloe-Jasmine are all up for the public vote this week.

The ageing catwalk star was summoned to the Diary Room immediately after the incident, where she was asked to explain herself and clearly feeling sheepish, she muttered: I am very sorry.'

She later denied that she actually spat at her fellow housemate. 'I did not spit on him,' she added. 'I made the motion that I spat on him.'

Other rows have rumbled on in the house, particularly between engaged couple Chloe-Jasmine and Stevi Richie, who have become embroiled in a number of minor squabbles as emotions build in the house.
