Australia bound! Drew Barrymore set to head Down Under for Miss You Already premiere in first visit since becoming a mother

She's said she wants to start pulling back from her onscreen Hollywood career and make fewer films to focus on her family and businesses.

And with only her latest flick Miss You Already coming out this year, 40-year-old Drew Barrymore seems to be making the most of it, and is set to come to Sydney, Australia, to celebrate its release.

The actress and mother of two will arrive this month for the premiere on September 30 at the State Theatre, according to the Daily Telegraph, which will mark her first visit to the country since becoming a mother.

Drew has visited the country before, including in 2003 to promote Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle alongside Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz.

Drew, who has spent time in Europe this week, is married to Will Kopelman and the pair share two children, Frankie, 16 months, and Olive, who turns three at the end of this month.

The pair wed in June 2012 in California.

It remains unclear if Drew will visit Australia with her man and their children.

She has balanced motherhood with her career and has a wine label, a production company, Flower Films, and a beauty and cosmetics brand, called Flower.

In July, she spoke to Hamptons magazine about drawing back from filming movies, saying: 'I don’t work in films and movies so much any more.

'I can’t. It would take me away from my kids too much, and I’m not willing to do that.

'[Acting will be] every few years at best, and then I’ll just see how that goes. I’ve done two films in five years. And even those, I was like, "Wow, I just don’t know how to do this right now with kids.", she said.

In May, she opened up to Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and said she is enjoying being 40.

'Now it is the first time in my life when my age has met up with where my life is and it's perfect. I love being 40,' Drew said.

She added: 'I always felt not my age and now I feel my age and I love it. It feels comfortable.'
