She announced her pregnancy in May, but it appears that Sophie Ellis-Bextor's baby bump has truly blossomed.

The 36-year-old singer proudly displayed her burgeoning shape as she attended the Scottish Fashion Awards at the Corinthia Hotel in London on Thursday evening.

Pregnancy clearly suits the mother-of-three as she looked glowing as she posed for photos before heading into the plush event.

Blossoming: Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 36, proudly displayed her burgeoning baby bump in a Kolchagov Barba dress as she attended the Scottish Fashion Awards at the Corinthia Hotel in London on Thursday night

Sophie's chic red carpet maternity style consisted of a black, lace Kolchagov Barba gown, the sheer material of the frock flaunting her changing shape.

The full-length frock also featured a sleeveless design, which displayed her 'family' tattoo on her right shoulder.

The Murder On The Dancefloor hitmaker - who's been married to The Feeling bassist Richard Jones for ten years - styled the glamorous gown with an oversized black clutch which was shaped like a giant pair of lips.

She added height to her statuesque frame with a pair of gold-pointed heels.

The former Strictly finalist made a solo appearance at the Scottish fashion event, leaving her husband and their three sons - Sonny, 11, Kit, six and Ray, three - at home for the evening.

The couple wed in 2005 and celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary last month.

Sophie - who released her fifth studio album, Wanderlust, last year - previously revealed that having kids had helped her career.

She told The Independent: 'It’s made me a better performer, a better artist, a happier person. I wouldn’t have done half the things I’ve done if I hadn’t become a mum.'

The brunette beauty will be working with the channel to create a TV show about social media and its role in celebrity.

As part of the show, Sophie was challenged to post on social media as often as Kim Kardashian does - and she started her challenge on Thursday evening.

Alongside a snap of her before the awards show, she wrote to her 25k followers: 'To kick off, here's a selfie of moi et bump getting ready for the awards.'
