In a statement, Bedingfield said: 'Many people turn a blind eye arguing that everything is ok environmentally.
'The song reminds us that having ownership of our world means taking care of it.
'With this song we wanted to talk about the environment in a way that would help people feel empowered to do something rather than be paralyzed by fear.'
Johnny Rzeznik, Krewella, Christina Grimmie and Q'Orianka Kilcher also sing on the song.
A UN press release for the song lists the songwriters as Toby Gad, Natasha Bedingfield, John Shanks and Sean Paul.

The song was created to support a U.N. conference in Paris this December that's aimed at reaching a deal with more than 190 nations to keep global warming from reaching dangerous levels.
Love Song to the Earth will receive a wide release on September 11, the same day a lyric video will be released.
A press release from Friends of the Earth says the video will feature Jane Goodall, Chuck Leavell, as well as Caillat, Kilcher and Bedingfield, among others.
The tune can be purchased on iTunes, where it is selling for $.69.
