'We love you with all our hearts!' Gwyneth Paltrow wishes her bestie Beyoncé a happy 34th birthday with flashback photo featuring daughter Apple

Gwyenth Paltrow bonded with Beyoncé back to the early 2000's.

The A-list actress proved that 'old acquaintances' won't be forgotten in her date book as she took to Instagram on Friday to post a special 34th birthday greeting to the Drunk In Love singer.

Gwyneth shared a black and white photo of a much younger Bey stretching out on the floor in yoga pose with the star's lookalike daughter Apple, followed by an overlapping of hearts.

'Happy birthday @beyonce We loooooove you with all our (hearts emoji),' Paltrow wrote in the caption.

The responses came flooding in with one follower writing, 'How adorable' and another venturing to say, 'Jealous.'

As Gwyneth told shock jock Howard Stern in January, her friendship with Beyoncé was sparked more than a decade ago after she met Jay Z at a New York City benefit.

Gwyneth was still wed to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, hence the musical connection.

'We all became friends,' Gwyneth told Stern. 'I normally don't do that, but [we vibed] in that particular case.'

Her praise continued as she said: 'They're the greatest people. They are funny and sweet, and self-aware and really intelligent.'

When asked about the video footage that emerged of Solange Knowles' elevator fight with Jay Z after the Met Gala in May 2014, Gwyneth didn't hold back.

'I never say, "What's going on?"' Gwyneth said, adding that she's always ready to help if help is wanted.

'If any of my friends have anything like that, I call right away. Absolutely... If someone's clearly going through something, I always go straight for it.'

Last summer, Gwyneth reportedly let Beyoncé bunk down at her home in Los Angeles' Brentwood area while the Halo star was touring with her husband Jay Z.

And Gwyneth and Beyoncé have motherhood in common as well - the Emma star has two children with Chris, daughter Apple, now 11, and son Moses, nine, while Bey has daughter Blue Ivy, three, with Jay Z.
