Lewis Hamilton has joined sports' famous blond bombshells after bleaching his hair ahead of Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.

The F1 champion was pictured in Monza arriving in the paddock with a distinctive new hair colour peeking out of his cap.

Joining the likes of Everton striker Arouna Kone, former Basketball star Dennis Rodman and the Romanian football team who appeared at World Cup '98 to dye his hair peroxide blond, Hamilton now resembles The Real Slim Shady and it seems all the others are just imitating.

Hamilton, whose new look will unfortunately be concealed under his helmet as he bids to win the Italian Grand Prix, currently holds a 28-point advantage over Nico Rosberg in the overall Driver Standings with eight races remaining in the 2015 season.

The 30-year-old won the Belgian Grand Prix in his last outing to extend his lead at the top of the Championship, and the Mercedes driver knows that victory in Monza will edge him one step closer to his third World Championship.
